Photographic exhibition of Antonio Barbieri

“There are sometimes passions which are difficult to decipher, but those Barbieri has for his hometown and for the photography explode with full sincerity.
By photographing Cattolica, its sea with the natural lights at dawn and the chromatic sunset lights , by photographing it in its most seducing aspects, in its most hidden corners , Barbieri gives himself up to it with unaltered enthusiasm, and documents it with technique, care and competence through hundreds of pictures made up of details and general views.

The sea, the beach the town, the nature express the same passionate adhesion and the same poetic love.
After the photo exhibition in June 2005 in the Mancini Palace, the seat of the Town Hall and the 2006 Calendar, “Loving Cattolica” has come on June 2006 to the third performance of its author with the opening of the open air exhibition in the Piazzetta (little square) in the port area that shows 20 plasticized blow ups which will remain on view during the whole summer.

Antonio Barbieri has wanted to dedicate this work to Cattolica, its first photographic book which has been published on the occasion of the “Hundred Years (1906 – 2006) of Tourism and Hospitality in Cattolica “ anniversary with the approval of the mayor, of the town’s and province’s administration.”
